Music as a Ministry
The goal of Eastlan’s
Music Ministry is to present inspiring music that:
1. praises God
2. allows the Holy Spirit to move among us, and
3. leads people to a deeper relationship with our Lord and Savior, Jesus
Christ.
Eastlan incorporates diverse styles and genres of music in our worship:
Bach and Beethoven, hymns and spiritual songs, and worship songs and praise
choruses.
Choirs
Eastlan has a range of vocal ensembles from the Children’s Choir (ages 4
and up) to the “SilverTone Choir” (our Senior
Adults). The Sanctuary Choir, our most visible ensemble, leads us in song
and worship during Sunday morning services.
Handbells
From time to time, members also enjoy
participating in our Handbell Choir, which provides great music for our
worship services.
Contemporary Music
We have a passion for Contemporary Christian
music, which is lifted up in praise to God. Musical groups are also invited
to perform at Eastlan to present special music we
are always eager to hear.
Special Talents
Eastlan is blessed to have staff with a heart for
Christ and God-given talents to be masters of their music and instruments!
Our Music Minister loves to lead our
choirs and instrumentalists as Eastlan worships and praises
the Lord in music and song.
Music Education
Eastlan offers music classes designed to help people learn about music, its
construction, rhythm and performance. Our music staff offers instruction in
areas such as piano, organ, voice, and music reading.
